Manillo and Jim
Still loading.
Still loading.
Now for the unloading.
Mick, Jim, and Henry discussing the situation.
And still unloading.
Mick giving a hand.
The new mattresses.
The children were having lunch when the group and mattresses arrived.
Some of the children.
The old mattresses.
The new mattresses were carried in through the windows.
The children playing on the old mattresses.
One of the new mattresses on a bunk.
Nice thick mattresses.
The children and staff were thrilled with the new mattresses and most appreciative. None of this would have been possible without the help of the contributions from the gringo community. Many thanks to all who contributed. For those who went for the delivery, it was another one of those warm fuzzies. This was one major project accomplished, but the most important thing the children need is people contact. They're thrilled to receive visitors and hugs; but for now, they will have a good night's sleep.
A special thank you to Mick and Angie for taking pictures in my absence yesterday.
Until next time,
Mick and Kathy
